Jeremy Caruthers began his musical journey as a child when his mother forced him to fill in on drums at their church one Sunday morning. In middle school, Jeremy would “acquire” blank tapes from his church’s supply and use them to record. He would record his own music using the church’s sound system and beats that he made on his Sony PlayStation with the MTV Music Generator game.

Upon graduating high school, a $500 gift from his grandmother allowed him to purchase enough equipment to begin recording music in his parent’s basement. Jeremy wrote, produced and recorded four hip-hop albums and performed all over at festivals and events with his friends.

In college, he began playing piano and toured as a keys player for a year with a choir before becoming the band director. It was here he began honing his skills as a leader and composer. He also played for GOSPEL artists like Jason Crabb, Trent Cory, Judy Jacobs, and more.

He has ALSO PRODUCED and worked with a variety of artists such as Snarky Puppy, Jon Bellion, Andy Mineo, Wordsplayed, AND Clark Beckham. This work goes beyond music production and into other skills related to the music industry including branding, marketing, and video production. THIS LED TO THE CREATION OF HIS BRAND MARKETING FIRM, CARUTHERS CONSULTING, in 2022.

After more than a decade of dedicated volunteering, he made the transition to working for THE NONPROFIT Far-Flung Tin Can full-time in 2021. Today, he is focused on creating a direct, innovative connection between music and the front lines of global missions. This means providing clean water, food, shelter, and medical services with funds generated from PRODUCING AND PERFORMING music.

Jeremy lives with his wife and three children in Chattanooga, TN.
